Tokyo, January 9, 2025 – LocationMind Inc. is pleased to announce that our consultant, Deepanshu Agarwal, delivered a presentation at the international seminar titled "Harnessing Human Mobility Data for Equitable and Inclusive Cities," organized by the Research Subcommittee on the Effective Use of Generalised Processed MPD within the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE).
Deepanshu's presentation, "Leveraging Big Data to Address Social Challenges and Enhance Urban Planning," focused on utilizing big data analytics to address social challenges such as poverty and urban infrastructure planning. His talk highlighted the integration of mobile GPS data, crowdsourced surveys, satellite imagery, and census data to analyze travel behavior and identify accessibility gaps.
He demonstrated how these insights can optimize transportation routes, service frequency, and urban planning, ensuring equitable and sustainable city development. By combining data with informal settlement and hazard maps, the approach aims to identify vulnerable areas and support inclusive policy-making.
LocationMind continues to leverage cutting-edge technology to contribute to sustainable and resilient urban development.
